Although it's cold here right now, this time of year I am always excited by the signs of spring. The many shades of green as the trees start to leaf out, the grass and the flowers that are starting to sprout up everywhere.I have lots of purple and white violets growing everywhere, but often the pansies winter over as well. This painting was one of the first ones created when I started painting. It hangs in my father's home, a gift to my step mom before she passed away, something that she seemed to really love.
I hope to be painting more this summer, practice makes perfect and I hope to get a lot of practice.
